Keyword research and gap analysis, including competitor research to identify untapped areas of opportunity.
Implementation of canonical tags to prevent duplicate content indexation issues on a large ecommerce website
Recommend deployment of hreflang markup for a multi-lingual website so the correct content appears in relevant country-specific search results
Analysis of Google Analytics data for a website to identify areas where content under-performs and conversion rates could be improved
Constructing an Excel spreadsheet including pivot tables to analyse multiple data points to look for correlations between social media engagement, incoming natural links and rankings
Passion for remaining at the cutting edge of organic search marketing - constantly learning by reading blogs, conducting research and testing hypotheses
Excellent, persuasive verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prepare and present compelling on-site SEO audits, best practise guidelines, review documentation, client SEO strategy documents and monthly client reporting
Ability to liaise with both internal teams and client resources to deliver effective digital marketing campaigns

As part of the Search & Insight department, you will utilise your analytical skills and deep understanding of organic search algorithms to provide clear, effective recommendations for campaign strategies to help achieve client objectives.
The role is an important part of multi-disciplinary campaign teams encompassing content marketing, data analysis, search marketing and paid digital disciplines. The SEO analyst studies available data and researches the online market to provide campaign insight, identify opportunities and provide organic search best practice.
As a key role within the agency, you will also mentor colleagues and provide expert insight into service evolution and best practice guidelines.
You will have an excellent technical and practical understanding of both on and off-site SEO, as well as confidence in client-facing situations including day-to-day consultancy, campaign review presentations and assisting in new business development. You will be confident providing expert, best practice guidance in search engine optimisation to colleagues as well as clients where required. You will have excellent analytical skills, and be able to apply them to complex situations analysing client and competitor websites, backlink profiles, website usage data and more to provide clear, articulate insight to internal campaign teams and face-to-face with clients.
