Further welcomes PPC Executive Alice Rayner
Alice Rayner is joining our Paid Digital Team here at Further. Get to know her in our quick-fire interview…
Place of origin: Bury St Edmunds
Role at Further: PPC Executive
Area of specialism: Building strong relationships with clients, ensuring that goals are not only achieved but exceeded, and contextualising paid advertising within a wider digital marketing strategy.
Potted career history: Despite being selected for the Arsenal Ladies’ Academy whilst studying for my A-Levels, I made the difficult decision to focus on my studies and goal of going to university, rather than pursue a career in football. I subsequently graduated with a history degree from the University of East Anglia (UEA) in 2016.
It was whilst I was at university that I became interested in forging a career in marketing, going on to gain a marketing internship with an international sportswear company- the best of both worlds! Here, I was thrown in at the deep end, helping with crucial client projects and gaining experience in almost every aspect of marketing. Thankfully, it was more than just making the tea!
This sparked my passion for paid, and working in an ever-evolving environment. I took on the role of Marketing Supervisor less than a year later – a welcome challenge. I am excited to have joined Further and I look forward to gaining more marketing knowledge and thriving alongside my colleagues.
Proudest moment: I have been lucky enough to have a lot of proud moments from my sporting career, including playing with the Arsenal Ladies Academy Squad in an FA Cup final and playing at Twickenham with my university rugby team. However, my proudest moment is probably graduating from UEA with my family watching!
Interests: Sport is my biggest passion. I can normally be found in the middle of a rugby pitch or in the stands at Carrow Road. I also love music, having recorded and released an EP of my own songs a few years ago, and occasionally playing open mic nights around Norwich.
Next on the bucket list… I would love to see more of Europe – Amsterdam is one of my favourite places, so I’m keen to see what the rest of the continent has to offer.
Best piece of life advice: Always keep your options open, you never know what could happen!
