Further welcomes new Content Editor Helen Brooks

Further is happy to welcome Helen Brooks to the Content Marketing team in the new role of Content Editor. Here is Helen in her own words:

Place of origin: Felixstowe, Suffolk

Role at Further: Content Editor

Area of specialism: I enjoy using my planning and organisational skills to guide content, from the ideas stage through to completion, and then measure its success. I love producing content that really resonates with its audience, whether that be a blog or article, or something more visual such as a video or graphic.

Potted career history: After university, I worked in NHS communications and media relations. Six years later, I joined a leading pregnancy and parenting website as a content editor. In 2014, I completed a Chartered Institute of Public Relations diploma and was awarded a distinction. The course covered public relations theory, planning and research.

Proudest moment: Any time my three-year-old does something new or funny. She drew a smiley face (albeit a lopsided one) for the first time a few days ago, so that’s my current proudest moment!

Interests: Life drawing, cooking (something I never thought I would say), running and bullet journalling.

Next on the bucket list: Getting on the property ladder and visiting Hawaii with my husband.

Best piece of life advice: ‘Imagine people complexly’.
