Supporting the Big C

Back in March we told you we would be supporting The Big C throughout 2016. And boy have we kept our word.

Throughout March, Lee Carnihan treated us to a Twitter photo project full of colour and mystery as he posted 35 photos of Norwich using #35for35. Why 35? Because 2016 is the Big C’s 35th anniversary so it was one photo for every year of their kindness. He also wrote a blog post about the project and his reasons why he chose to do what he did. Definitely worth a read.

This month Dan, Rich, Mark and our client Kevin from Harrod UK joined 30 local businesses at Bawburgh Golf Club, Norwich for a charity golf tournament. Unfortunately, the guys didn’t come back with the trophies but we can reveal the day raised an incredible £6,023.86. This grand total will be split 50 / 50 between the Big C and testicular cancer charity ‘It’s on the Ball’.

Our lovely Annelise also participated in the Colour 5K run at Hoveton Hall on July 9th, where she raised an amazing £146. In true British weather tradition it absolutely poured down which made the conditions very wet and muddy but that didn’t dampen her spirits as she completed the run in just under 40 minutes.

On August 7th, Daisy, Shelli and I will be jumping out of a plane (with parachutes) 14,000ft high at Beccles airfield. I’m not going to lie… I am petrified. For this we are looking to raise £450 for the Big C. To date we are 51% of the way so if you wish to help us in our bid here is our Just Giving page.

On September 25th, we have what seems like an entire peleton participating in the Bullards Tour de Norfolk 2016 – a new cycle sportive aimed at every kind of rider at the Norfolk Showground.

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated. Your support is definitely keeping the team at Further motivated as well as knowing the pennies raised are going to make a real difference, locally.
