Further at Search Norwich
Just in case you haven’t been reading the news, SearchNorwich is Norwich’s first ever dedicated search marketing meet-up.
And it should come as no surprise to you that Further’s own Jonathan Falgate was invited to present at the launch event.
The event began in much the same way as many of the other meetups in the area do. With free beer and pizza, friendly faces, chit chat and good old fashioned networking. And it certainly seemed that Search Norwich had succeeded in a pulling together a good mix of meetup regulars with lots of new faces.
A nice touch to Search Norwich is that the focus charity is given a 15 minute slot to talk about their cause before the main presentations. This time around the charity spotlight was rightly given to The Benjamin Foundation, presented by Chris Elliott.
Needless to say The Benjamin Foundation is a great local cause – if you want to know more – check out November’s Sleep Out.
On to the main event…
First up was Sean Clark, and what Sean doesn’t know about PPC would fit on his name badge. His presentation was expertly delivered and certainly engaged us all regarding the exciting new trends in the world of PPC.
Jon was up next to talk about SEO and this time, about the importance of using keyword data to constantly improve pages – not just as a one off check box activity. You can view the whole 20 minute talk below.
You can check out the slides here too.
Jon’s unique way of presenting complex issues around a single keyword really helps the viewers see the end to end process. And from the feedback from those in attendance, it seems he hit the mark again with this one.
Jon from @further did an excellent job pitching the level of his talk at the first #SearchNorwich.
Over 65% of you found the talk to be bang on in terms of technical level and a pretty much even split of those falling above and below that!
