Specialist travel operator Cuba Direct has appointed Further as its digital marketing agency as it looks to increase its share for travel to this increasingly popular destination.
Further’s work on the business started in April with a view to building traffic, lowering CPC from Paid Search and consulting on on-site improvements before working with the client on other areas of the marketing programme.
As Maykel Perez, who manages the digital marketing and e-commerce for the London-based operator, explained “we have big plans for the business and Further’s track record for results and their initial advice really impressed us.”
“They seem to really understand the challenges ahead of us – both digitally and commercially – as the number of competitors moving into Cuba as a destination increases following the news of US trade restrictions being lifted. Travellers who have had Cuba on their list of destinations to visit are suddenly putting it as a priority as they wish to see the Cuba before things change too much.”
“We have been really impressed with the ethos and ambition of Cuba Direct as a company and love the fact that virtually everyone advising and booking holidays for the clients are Cuban and have an unrivaled knowledge of the country, its culture and most importantly how to help customers to experience the real Cuba,” commented Shelli Wright, Further’s Account Manager on the business.
