My role as Systems Administrator allows me to take on all sorts of challenges, from configuring servers, maintaining websites, to supporting the team in creation of SEO tools and programs. Having more than 10 years experience as a zealous Linux user, I have picked up a multitude of skills alongside server maintenance & networking, including programming Perl, PHP & HTML. Having knowledge in all of these areas means that I am a reliable trouble shooter for the team, not that we have many problems here, but they are aware of my problem solving abilities none the less.
Working at Further gives me the freedom to learn new skills, which fits in perfectly with my craving for cutting edge technology. I continue to learn and trial new technologies outside of work. I enjoy watching technical presentations, arduino programming and developing my own websites.
Computing aside, I find the time for barbecues, bike rides and visits to the beach in the summer. Watching TV series, films and ice hockey games also feature heavily in my top things to do whilst keeping my girlfriend and cat company.
